The 1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R is an absolute icon of racing history, and it is easily one of the most sought-after rides in Forza Horizon 6. If you are looking to add this legendary JGTC beast to your garage, you won’t find it sitting in the Autoshow. It is locked behind a late-game Barn Find that requires a bit of campaign grinding.

If you want to bypass the aimless driving and get behind the wheel as fast as possible, follow this optimized path.

Step 1: Farm the “Discover Japan” Stamps
In Forza Horizon 6, barns don’t just pop up randomly while you explore the map. Instead, they are tied directly to your progress levels in your Collector’s Journal. The Pennzoil NISMO Skyline specifically requires you to reach Level 4: Pathfinder (often called the Pink Stamp).

To power-level your campaign rank and unlock that stamp quickly, focus on these three high-yield activities:

Smash the Story Missions: Keep an eye out for the yellow map markers. Completing these main story beats awards the largest chunks of stamp progression points by far.

Knock Out Regional Activities: When you need a break from stories, dive into local Touge events, traditional Road races, and regional food delivery ranks to stack up extra points.

Buy Houses: If you have the credits, start purchasing player housing. Buying a house provides a massive, immediate injection of progression points to leapfrog through the stamp levels.

Step 2: Head to the Secret Barn Location
The moment you hit the Level 4 Pathfinder rank, the barn rumor will trigger on your map. You will want to fast-travel over to the central part of the map to claim your prize.

The Region: Head to the Takashiro region in central Japan.

The Exact Path: Look for the “Day Trip Horizon” Story marker. Just south of it, you will see a sharp, technical hairpin turn on the west side of the region. Drive to the southwest corner of this hairpin, turn off the pavement, and head up the hill facing eastward.

The Barn: Follow the slope up, and you will find the secret barn tucked away right in the middle of that hill. Drive up to the doors to trigger the cutscene.

    Step 3: Fast-Track the Restoration
Once the cutscene ends, the battered Skyline will be sent off to your garage’s restoration queue.

If you are short on credits, you can simply wait it out for free. The garage timer ticks down based on in-game activity, so knocking out a handful of standard races will get the car fully repaired and ready to roll. However, if you have cash to burn and want to drive it immediately, you can pay a credit fee to skip the timer entirely and put the keys in your pocket right away.

I’m still early in the game — do you think it’s better to focus on story missions first or just grind races for credits?
This Skyline looks mad, but I’m not sure how fast I can realistically unlock it.
