    Best Kei Cars for Racing

    Autozam AZ-1 (1993)
Known as the “King of Kei,” this mid-engine, gullwing-door sports car starts in D Class. Its balance is incredible, and when upgraded to C or B Class, it corners at high speeds like a miniature supercar. Tight street circuits are where the AZ-1 truly shines.

    Honda S660
A modern favorite for B Class road racing, the S660 is more stable than older Kei cars. It’s perfect for technical tracks with constant gear changes, letting skilled drivers maintain speed through tricky corners.

    Suzuki Cappuccino
This classic roadster is a top choice for Touge battles. Its front-engine, rear-wheel-drive setup allows for precise drift entries, making it ideal for mountain pass challenges where momentum matters more than raw speed.

    Honda Beat (1991)
A “momentum legend” recently confirmed for FH6. It lacks straight-line speed but carries incredible speed through curves, making it a sleeper pick for D Class championships. Perfect for players who can keep the car flowing through technical corners.

    Best Kei Trucks for Racing

Mitsubishi #269 Minicab Time Attack (1990)
Part of the Time Attack Car Pack, this truck is built for speed. With a high-revving engine and radical aero kit, it dominates A Class city races despite its small size.

    Honda Acty (1994)
Primarily a fun vehicle, the Acty surprises with its low center of gravity. Many community builds swap in motorcycle engines, turning it into a high-RPM screamer capable of keeping pace with modern hatchbacks. Excellent for gymkhana-style events.

    Nissan S-Cargo (Forza Edition)
A one-seat spaceframe build with a turbo engine and huge rear wing, this quirky truck is made for multiplayer chaos and weird-format races. It’s a unique choice if you want to stand out and still compete effectively.

    Racing & Tuning Strategy

Tokyo City Advantage: Take inner lines through narrow alleys that bigger cars can’t. Small Kei vehicles can “divebomb” past AI or human players, saving precious seconds.

Engine Swaps: Competitive builds often include motorcycle engine swaps. They provide massive power-to-weight boosts while keeping the car within lower PI limits.

Stability First: Short wheelbases can make Kei cars twitchy. Lowering ride height and stiffening rear anti-roll bars helps prevent pendulum oversteer during high-speed transitions.

    Community Perspectives

“I found the Copen to be the better choice since its lower stock PI meant I could stick a lot of upgrades on it before hitting the class limit.”

“I struggled with the Tokyo city races until I used the Honda S660—it just weaves through traffic and tight corners like nothing else.”

Kei cars and trucks might be small, but in Forza Horizon 6, they punch way above their weight. With the right upgrades, tuning, and track knowledge, these little machines can dominate races and give players a fun, skill-focused driving experience.
